CGTalk - Vray Matte Problems

Hey guys i am in a bit of a tango with the matte properties for v-ray I posted some screen shots, but basically when i leave my matte options off and turn on the shadows, i do get the shadows as a matte but my plane still renders, but if i turn my matte option on i cannot get no matte shadows at all and my plance doesnt render,which should i think should be vise veresa but maybe you guys can help me out i would appreciate it

if u change the matte contribution to -1. u'll solve u'r problem
