View Full Version : brick wall dynamics
Sbowling 12-12-2006, 11:37 PM Hi,
I'm trying to set up a brick wall for dynamic simulations, but I'm having trouble gettingthe wall to stay up. I know it's possible because it's in one of the SI videos on dynamics. If anyone has any ideas on what I need to do to make this work I would really appreciate some feedback.

I would of thought you would need some sort of animated state node on the bricks to fix your problem..so just as a ball hits your wall the bricks and the ball mutually effect each other .

you can either set the brick wall at its rest point to be the initail state and tweak it that way.But thats the crazy way maybe. The easier and best way imo is to just animate the the active state of the rigid bodies
i.e active when it needs to be hit or collide with another rigid bodies element and inactive/passive when it does not

I just had to turn up the simulation steps in the Modify>Rigid Body>Edit Simulation Properties. Everything seems to work fine now.
