Hi guys,

first post on the forum so take it easy. Im pretty new to this ;)

Basically ive got this quite long animation with objects grouped to make parts of it.
They animate fine for position and rotation but when I go to change the scale later on in the anim it changes the scale throughout the entire sequence rather than just that section.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers,

Tim

Hi Tim,

You have to scale with the Object Tool rather than the Model Tool for animation. That's about the only time you want to use the Object Tool, IMO. I don't recall the rationale behind it, but I think it's discussed in the manual.

The rationalle is that one scales the mesh, the other scales the objects matrix (consider it to be it's axis). When animating (unless you're using PLA) it's the objects matrix you want to be affecting.
