Howdy! I'm just starting to learn Maya rigging and I want to hide my mesh while working on the bones.. how do I do this? I know that I've once used a pull down menu that lets me selectively choose what elements of the scene are visable but I cant find it. Where can I look? All I want to do is hide the body parts so that I can see just the bones inside.

cheers, bucky

I've figured out how to do something similar by creating LAYERS for displaying specific sets of objects, but I remember there's a more general way to toggle on/off types of objects in the display. I'm still poking around the shelf looking for that menu that I remeber, but no luck yet. Any help would be appreciated but for now my problem is solved with the layers solution.

There're a few menus at the top of the display panel (below the shelves) instead of all the way at the top of the whole application, one of which is "Show", which I assume is the menu you want.
