Really nice but... what da **** is the frontal glass of the ship reflecting in the sky? a luminous plane that passed there by mere chance? :D Good work tho

Hmmm... It looks very good. Just change the background and you've got a really cool picture!
Maybe the reflection on the plane is too much thou... but keep it up! I'm watching :)

Thanks!
Hehe, I used a free HDRI map (map is not the correct word here?).
I kept it cause I thought the reflection looked damn cool! ;)

Thx!
Yeah the background is just a simple shader with BlodiHUT FRESNEL as color to simulate a sky...
And the reflections is a tad to strong... and clean. Gonna lower and blur it!

Good job for such a short time. My thought seeing the windshield reflectance--"oh my GOD he's ramming the Chrysler Building!" Time to tape up the windows. :/

Looks great - the only thing that bothers me is that the plane and the rest of the pic seem to be like different style - the plane is sort of photoreal and the rest looks a bit cartoony...But looks cool anyways..
Dont know if you are looking to do this but adding a few shadows to it would make the pyro look much more convincing.

Do you mean "self shadow"? I have that on both the smoke types...
And last, but not least, an small update:

It looks like you're using the 2D Pyro feature. Using the volumetric shader would make a big difference.

Looking good malc0m, :) I like the city map you've used, where did you get that?
Did you use PC for the clouds? Cos they look a little flat.

Why thank you :)
The city map is Bejing (Peking). Just searched for +"Aerial photos" with google... Took the first best I could find.
The clouds is almost embarrising simple... Its color is pure white and the standard Cinema Shader CLOUDS in the alpha settings (althou inverted)

To change from 2D to 3D volumetric mode open the Pyrocluster material. In the Globals tab, change the Render Mode setting from Video Post to Atmospheric. This will increase your render times significantly, but you can play around with the parameters in the Volume Tracer material to balance quality/speed. The main parameters affecting speed are World Step Size and Ray Trans. Limit.
