Am I the only one who thinks the f-curves in max sucks. Is there any plugin that alows you to use some alternative f-curve editor?

I don't know if there is another F-curve editor availible, but there are a wealth of handy scripts out there which make editing F-curves a bit easier.

Comet's "Keymanager" script springs to mind, but there are loads more (probably find them all at scriptspot.com actually)

what controller are you talking about? Rotation by default doens't even have F-curves. You have to set it to Euler to get them. What's particular gripes do you have?

The worst part about the f-curves in max are that you can't move the key on one axis without moving them all.

erm, yes you can.

Position keys have a Bezier Position controller assinged by default. If you change the controller to PositionXYZ you get three separate tracks, and can add, delete, move, and scale keys without affecting the other axis tracks at all. Same goes for rotation (though by default Max assigns a TCB Rotation controller, which doesn't have F-curves anyway).

Thanx, you're a star! You made my day. I'll jump right into max now.
