View Full Version : YIPPE!!! my first "Model"
Kotayus 02-14-2003, 08:35 PM i started work on this yesterday, i was just messing around with metaballs, and came up with this...added some lighting and presto, im not done yet, but i dont really know what to add, it doesnt look finished.

Have you blured it a little? It looks good if you have but my eyes have been a little odd lately so it may just be me.

Thanks guys! in another forum i post in i usually get flamed for my novice work. It makes me feel good that i got some good responses
Phasmatis: Yes i did some post work in PS. I used KPT blur (camera optics) in a layer with its blend mode set to screen.
Squid: there are antenae, the lighting just didnt show it

IMHO the skin looks like rubber....not sure if that is what you want, but that is what it is.:bounce:
I dont know about you guys, but I really like his skin texture :thumbsup:. One thing stikes me though, the eye socket doesnt seem to well defined. If you would just sharpen that up I think it might make it look more profesional :)

alright...ya the eye socket is just a negative metaball, i didnt know how to approach getting it more defined...ill give it a hot though, thanks for the crit! i hope it makes it look better, i also want to work on getting a defined mouth area as well.
