this is a final for class. i hate the background but dont really have the time to improve on it well. i love the concept but not really this picture. the eyes are still a bit strange and the colors are off as well i think. my first attempt at scee painting. feel free to attack it. let me know what you think.

Idea is nice indeed.
I would put some darker/lighter shades on her [especially on skin] because it looks very flat. Her hand [the one that's reflected in the mirror] is a bit small I think.

Did you crop it since I last saw it last in computer art? Anyway, I like the small details you added, such as the gun under her right hand and the reflection of the dress in the mirror is alot better. There is one thing about the dress that bugs me and that is the top of it where black meets skin. It's a bit strange there still. I know this piece has given you alot of trouble but I love it!

You really need to post your most recent version, it is much improved and you need to let the community see that. That being said, I do enjoy this piece and for an early painting piece it show that you will not have any trouble going down this artistic road, you have quite the knack for this. Post the new one!

P.S. Hmooboi06, please stop using netspeak, you're killing me, it's almost impossible to read. Spelling and complete sentences are not your enemy! :)

The main thing with this piece is the skintone and the anatomy and proportions. They could use some work.

What is pretty cool though if you scroll up and down and look at the checkered tiles in the mirror it has a pretty cool illusional effect.:bounce:

the gun still seems wrong...the barrel is still too short and the grip... when I shoot a gun like that...(don't ask me the name, I'm very horrible with gun names...wait maybe I can google it, okay it does look like a .45 to me) my little girl hands have a hard time going around the grip...if I were to put the gun in that position under my hand my it would span my entire palm and stick out a bit at the meaty end.

I'll have to ask my so the name of the gun so I can google some ref photos...I know he wouldn't let me use his for ref.

quite nice concept, very smoothly rendered also. but i am heavily bugged by the textures, especially those on the desk. the textures look flat, they don't match the perspective. some tough lighting and shading are also due because they would add a great depth to the overall mood. as this is a wip, i consider that you will take care of such details later on hehe.

great job, keep em coming XD
