It's funny how we artists (both 2D and 3D) sometimes have sooo much trouble with a piece of work. We agonize over whether it is finished or not. I BET if you gave this to the subject matter, she would be weeping with joy, effusive in her thanks and praise...only we the artist would know the time and toil we put into each creation, and whether it was "finished" or not....LOL. A very well done piece! I like the hair and the start you have on the satin glove. Keep up the good work....

Wow, I really like this painting.

Very nice eyes, they are exceptionally large and portray a lot. The hair is also nice. The only thing that I might question is the whole entire face structure, but I do not mind it as it was intended to be so.

hi paul,

your image is well excecuted and comes close to the original - overall it looks a bit blurry compared to the original. Maybe because the skin texture details arent´t as sharp as in the original. Unfortunately my browser wasn´t able to load your step by step link to say anything about that.

I know this is a mastercopy-training but I highly would recommend to switch over doing your own characters from scratch. Going for realism isn´t the only goal to have. Trying to integrate very subtle gestures and developing own characters with an expression of an own live/past makes artworks much more interesting.

This is simply amazing, the only thing is the Eye in the back looks dead. It has no luster.. but the Iris itself is bigger than the one in the front. I can understand the puple being bigger since its in the darker area and the one in the front is lit. but The size of the iris should be the same or slightly smaller,since its father away.

thanks for all your comments, they are really appreciated. It's suprising what things you miss working so intensley. I've reworked the eyes and glove and attached some 100% details. I'm not sure how to replace the original image here.The original is 5000x3333 pixels @ 300dpi
