I like where this image is going, but it just hasn't made it yet. The lighting seems odd; it seems like the rays are light are sourced from some of the books as opposed to the windows and the general contrast makes the image seem flat. The books also seem a little too neat and tidy; I think it would add a lot to have a few stacked out of the shelves or vary their heights a bit more. Also, as a still image, my eye is a little confused as to what is the centre of attention.
I can see you put a lot of work into this but it's just missing that little something to turn it into a front page work of art.
(Standard caveat: consume above comments with un peu du sel)

hey nice job man. Perhaps you could try to add more depth to the lighting. I mean that the whole scene is a little bit flat, also due to the texture.
C'est un jolie boulot qui mériterais encore quelques ajustements :)
Bon courage

Great design and modeling, I'd love to have a library like that. The lighting is a bit too perfect, perhaps making it darker, then getting some light flowing in from the windows with a little dust. But still, great work!

DestroyFred & Siouxfire : i agree with you about the flat aspect of the picture and about the lighting. I know that there's a problem on it but spending a lot of time on it dirsupt my eyes...thanks for your coments and critics.

Great modelling and texturing. I like a lot the night image. Anyway I would try to make the books of different heights, and try to improve a little the lighting, most of all in the first image. The lighting will give the image the perfect touch. Very nice work.

Just wondering how the librarian would reach the upper books on the highest shelf... There could be a whole story in this interior. It recalled me the Mazarbul, a hall of chronicles in Tolkien`s Moria.

A great work on ambiance and lightning. The only crits is a lack of contrast in the day version, and candles lights in the night version. The attenuation of these lights is a little too strong, I think. Smoothing this could help to have less "yellow spots" on walls and columns.
But overall i am fond of the POV, we are embraced by this wonderful place, this big architecture.
Good work like always mate!!!
