very nice timothy.
supurb model..... only a few things i would crit.
first off the teeth r too perfect, rotten em up a bit. They almost look like chicklets instead of teeth also.
second the texture looks ok, but the bump is too uniform. vary it up a bit. the specular seems a little much also.
other than that nice pic for ur portfolio.

he looks quite mean :)... nice model, although i agree with suttercane about the teeth and the spec... maybe move the teeth around a bit... are you going to add hair?...

The bump map + specularity is way off, my main problem with this is the materials. I would look at some photo reference and try to get it down more accurately. I'd also tweak the eyes, either their shape or their scale seems off to me.
good work
here is mine! im currently animating the uruk-hai!

cool model only one crit:
in the movie the white paint on his head is the hand of saruman but i see a hand in your texture. so maybe you should change it

looking pretty good...id say you need to make the teeth a lot less symetrical...have them all facing in slightly different directions...maybe even some higher and lower than others. and the eyes need to be larger...the larger the eyes, the dumber the character will look..and orcs aren't known for there intelligence. ;) i like the texture though..but i agree about playing with the specularity some also.

this isnt a orc its a uruk-hai half human half orc!
and the Eyes arent bigger u can see it on my picture
they arent stupid! and they are not inteligent....!
Critic:
bump mapping is to heavy. And Specular is to much.

I wasn't trying to be that technical about it being an uruk-hai...and its actually half or and half goblin if i remember correctly. but anyway my point was the small eyes make the character look like a more inteligent being than it should. its an uruk-hai, not an elf or something of superior intelligence. the small eyes make the brain look bigger..larger eyes decrease the visual size of the brain area. see what i mean?

Thanks for the comments, all... I agree on the specularity and bump mapping, can't see how I missed that before, I guess you can get pretty caught up in a model when you've worked with it for too long :)
VWTornado - it's true that larger eyes denote less intelligence, but they also often have the effect of making the character look more innocent. Small, squinting eyes do a lot to give an evil look.
ahh i understand you!
hmmm he should look more evil! more agressiv!
what do u say about my uruk-hai?
