Ok, after finishing the bouncing ball tutorial, im lining up something a little more ambitious. The way i had planned on approaching this was to render my character's run cycle out with a transparency & assign it as a sprite to a particle system. I was going to comp this into a background plate with some atmospherics & key frame a 'hero' character in the foreground. I dont plan on having any camera moves so i think this might work.
Any better ideas would really be welcome! Someone recommended trying character studio & downloading mocap data....
