Is it possible to execute a different UI with a button?

The final goal I like to achive is to be able to use my mouse buttons for more things than controlling my viewport (Pan, zoom).

When holding Numpad "1" I want my mouse buttons to be setup differently like:

Mouse3 scroll: In/Decrease Subd iternations in martinc script.

mouse4: Extrude polygon mode

and so on, when I release numpad1 I want it to go back to normal.

Maybe this is a stupid workaround for something that already exits, well I'd like your tips!

Thx in advance!

Howdy !

well i guess you could map "load custom Ui" to a key, but i think it might be a waste of time going back and forth Ui's...
Why not simply map Subd iterations in martinc script to keys like
numpad + and - or something ?
it might be easier to find different ways around than to absolutely want to swap Ui's, or anything else like that...

as for this particular Subd iterations stuff, maybe i'm wrong but using EditPolys, just up the nurms iterations to 1, and map the nurms toggle on a key, that way with a single hotkey/shortcut you can toggle nurms on/off pretty easily...

hope this helps !

Nothing fancy with just mapping it :insane:, thing is I've run out of buttons @ my keyboard. I should get a 900 button joystick I guess...
