Trying to create a scenic shot with snow capped mountains in the background. If I recall there was a terrain generator for maya. ANy body got any Ideas where I could find it? Would I beable ti use snow texture? Not sure how it works

Not sure about the terrain generator, but the snow shader thing is based on height so it should work decently.

Terragen - one of the best terrain generators available for free. It does not work directly with Maya, I think it exports LW files, but you can get an LW importer for Maya.

where can you get this plugin? I've never found one before... Is it made for Maya 4.5?

I just checked, and it seems that it is not available for Maya 4.5 (version 3 seems to be the last one supported). I was sure I had used it sometime in the past, but wasn't aware that there is no version for 4.5. But still, I'm sure that there are some external translators that can convert .LWO files to Maya's format.
