He says not to constrain the eyeballs of a character to a locator?

So how do we control where the eyes look at?By rotating them manually?

by setting them up on a 2D vector slider affecting their rotation. Personally neither one is superior, for close up acting I' d have to agree a locator is a tedious way of controlling such specific eye animation, but when your character in in longer shots focusing on things far from them a locator makes perfect sense so they are looking at what they are focusing on. For this simply use a mixer on a slider to blend form one to the other
