You can also stop particles several different ways. For example with Drag force. Also particle flow tools(extension for PF) have stop and gradient stop operator that can stop particles for you.

i can't seem to make it freeze with Bobo's script,maybe i 'm still a jerk in 3D
Anyone please tell me where i can learn about Pflow tool and its xtension?

Hi,
there is another way........make the speed of particles "0" from where you want your particles to stop.....if you wish i will make an example for you........

hi buller,
i have attached the file........its like this.......smoke emission.......and after 25 frames of its birth it will freeze ........so at that point of time you can take camera inside....hope it helps.
