Started work on a new piece for my portfolio yesterday after finishing my prison. This piece started out as a temple. The idea behind it was it as going to be a ruin found in a jungle. Now its starting to look like more of a palace to me Iím not really sure what style its supposed to be I was going for an Aztec style but now I think I will be going for an Indian style.

Anyway it doesnít really matter to me what style it is in the end as long as it looks good! It is 2272 triangles and I have used 4 512 colour maps and 4 512 bump mapss

I want to add something else but im kind of stuck where to go from now so if you have any ideas please share them :thumbsup:

Make some little curlish statue-type things on the corners. It's what a lot of people do and it looks really nice when it's done. Sort of like a whirlwind but in stone. Y'know whatta mean?

The pattern of wear and tear that you've given it is too easy to pick out when it repeats; it looks really tiled and stuff instead of seamless. I'd suggest less large swathes of chipped paint, or if you have them, don't give them a direction; just make them splotches.

Model looks fine only thing id say is maybe add some more detail to break up the stone on the texture. Maybe paint some sort of design or statues into the spots i marked. Also i noticed on the pillars theres that crack that cathches my eye on all and it just bothers me for some reason, nothing major but just my 2 cents. If you didnt want to repaint or mess with the texture on the pillars maybe just rotate the crack so its not facing on all of them, so it doesnt feel repeating.

ok soo i will try and get rid of the tiling later but i have a small update for now

I made a fountain to add a little interest, added some ivy to hide some tiling :) and also a painting on the wall

its coming along though I think the fountain architecturally is plain. Think about some smoother shapes and maybe get some reference for a classic fountain.
