I know nearly enough about texturing, but i want to know
your professional methods for this:
(I want to texturize the ears of my head with max5 unwrap uvw/deep paint 3d/photoshop/and
some head photos...So really perfect and without stretch...)

About ears: when we want to texturing the ears,
we have some problems, because some 'UVs' overlaped ..
-how you texturize ears ?
-Do you use Relax modifier(If yes, what do you do with overlaped UVs) ?
-or,Do you detach the Ears and head and then move ears to other side of Texture and
do the texturing for each one ?
-or,anything else ?

Please tell me your personal methods,
(as I said,I want to use some photos for it and I don't want
to paint it with colors...)

Best regards

if you know texturing then just apply the same methods to the ear.

since the deepest parts of the ear are usually dark, stretching its not diviced by viewers. What i do for ear texturing its separate the ears from the head and then separate the front from the back and align them to a plannar map, that gives me some nice posibilities thet the spherical or cilidrical mapping dont offer when aplyed to the whole head. also try to unfold the curved turns inside it as much as posible so the polygons in it get some texture pixels too.

to jeb:
when you separate it from the head ,Do you move it to a new Texture and then you have two texture ?
( 1.head texture 2.ear texture )

or, you separate it from the head and then move it to one side of the head texture ?
( both of them together in one texture )

Thanks
