Hi,
I don't know nurbs very well but I think nurbs surfaces are made of 4 sides only, no less no more.

By sides i really mean edges you can have 3 sided surfaces and the help says you can have 5 sided but i can never get it to work :(

need a picture for this one....the boundry tool is used for those hard to manage corners with only 3 isoparms

i had the same problem with my car - after experimenting a little i decided to simply add another profile curve which split my previous five sided surface into a four sided and three sided surface - i wanted to use the square tool to have tangency so that was the best solution for my problem

yeah, would like to see a pic myself. any chance you could upload one? depends on the curvature if there is any.

I will post a picture on monday basiclly one section is the wheel arch.
I can work it with a trim but once you trim a surface it's useless :hmm:

I would strongly suggest that you split one of the longer curves, and then make out of that two pieces of four sides. Something like this:

Use a nurb plane and make it a 2*1 and then as needed to make the curve just add it if you need it.

I think that what Boolieman meant is to make the whole bottom edge a single edge of a square (what I highlited as yellow). But this would not work because there's a corner that needs to be completely sharp (the one in green) and this can not be done in nurbs while keeping a good parameterization.

Yeah i tried that to start with put the hard edge gave me a crease through my surface.. I've done your method and it works well.

why not model the whole fender using 1 surface...then project and trim wheel well? Its simpler and easier...
In this situation...use the square tool...its perfect for getting the tangency that you need for this

I'm trying to model this without triming just testing my self :)
