Title: Volvo P1800 -61
Name: Bobben Erik Karlsson
Country: Sweden
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

Here's my Volvo P1800. After a lot of unfinnished car-projects I finally managed to finnish a car.
The main goal I had starting this project was to finnish it and to make it as accurate as possible.
It took me five months to complete, allthough I had lots of pauses during this period.
Applications used was 3dsmax 9 and Vray. Any comments are welcome!

the modeling looks perfect, but I think of only you can make the tires more detailed (a texture and a tiny bludge will do) and the car paint material less glossy (more blurry) to show a bit of contrast of the reflections it will make the entire image look perfect

Cheers

Thanks for your reply :)

aliismail: I agree to those crits and will think of that when rendering next time! I'll probably make some outdoor-render later on.

sandeep_612: Here's one from the back. I also have one big render, but the AA settings were crappy in that... I used catmull-room for AA filtering in those renders so thats why they look kind of edgy.

Congrats on the work - great carpaint. very nice model of a nice car :)

Only crit would be the tyre bulge already mentioned - would give the model some nice weight. - remember the car is sitting on quite tall profile tyres.

One of my all time favorite cars. I'd like to see it in a different setting. I know it's like traditional to show car models in this way, but I'd rather see it in a more natural setting to take advantage of lighting and reflections etc.
