is there any sort of tollset equivalent with meshtools?

i know there is an edge loop and edge ring and a cut polys tools in aya already, but is there anything more accurate like meshtools?

like divide edges by N, or connect edges by N? i think that pretty much all i need right now. or is there a simple script out there that does these things?

thanks

I think you'll find that MJPolytools is a pretty close set of tools, similair to meshtools.

Check em out, and review the documentation for installing and usage:

i just took a look at wings3d and that's some pretty nice poly modeler - so simple that it keeps you focused

now i am wondering - the smooth function you can apply to faces looks pretty handy - is there anything similar available for maya - has this been scripted already? - i took a look at highend3d without result

Select faces in maya and then do Polygons > Smooth?
