View Full Version : Virtualight...
Anchuvi 03-24-2002, 12:46 AM I am a Maya user and have just downloaded Virtualight to try and get a decent global illumination render.
Now, as far as I know it doesnat seem to handle SubD`s...
Does anyone else use it ? if so how do you get around this for animations...
Cheers.

convert the subd to a mesh and keep history.
add the subd model to a new layer and add the mesh model to another layer. carry on as normal, when you render you can render the mesh model. only prob is that your file size gos up.

Ive used virtualight..its good, but seems slow. Its integration is also rather poor.

I seem to be having some trouble with it...It seems that you can't have two shaders on one object...????
Is this true ?
