View Full Version : FireFox issues.
For the last couple of days, whenever I go to a page and click on something (anything), it jumps (scrolls) the page back to the top. Then if I scroll back down and click on whatever I wanted to click on originally, it will let me.... but almost never the 1st time.
Another issue that started about the same time, is that my Home, End, Page Up and Page Dwn keys don't work in FF.
I just downloaded FF 2 and reinstalled it, but same problem.
Did my settings get whacked that I can reset?
Any suggestions? As much as I love FF, these isssues are dampening my spirits with the program.

For the page issue, the only thing I can figure is an issue with how Firefox is rendering the page, causing the link to parse as <a href="page.htm#top"> instead of <a href="page2.htm">.... but then again, it could be anything. I don't have a solution for your home and page keys for your keyboard, but could you tell us what site you are viewing?
...could you tell us what site you are viewing?
What do you mean? This happens in EVERY site... and it has only ben doing this for a couple of days now. Very annoying since I like to jump to the top or bottom of a page instead of strolling.
Another odd thing is that I am constantly seeing the blinking cursor within pages... so like if I use the down arrow, I can actually see the blinking cursor move down the page until it hits the bottom, and then the page starts to scroll.
Oh and concerning the page up/dwn, home and End keys, they work in THIS window (the one I am typing in right now), but I used to be able to click out of this text box and then the keys would work - now they don't.
Do some of the usual checks. Spyware and adware scans, and a virus scan. Just to rule out this as a possible problem..
I have virus/spyware scans scheduled everyday, but re-running one now.
