Frantic Films has firmly established a reputation as one of North America's most dynamic and creative resources for stunning visual effects, post-production, pre-visualization, and animation. Whether it's creating new worlds -- or destroying them -- we take pride in redefining the cutting edge of CGI and digital VFX with each new production.
We are looking for experienced 3D Supervisors for Feature Film projects. Our ideal candidates will be creative and have the ability to give direction in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment. This is currently a 6 month contract position with the option of full time. The position will start January 3rd 2007.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in Feature Film and/or Game production with demonstrated abilities in problem solving and delegation to artistic team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Expert level in 3D Studio Max with some experience in Maya
- Candidates must possess strong 3D skills with emphasis on camera set-ups and filmback knowledge with an eye for composition and camera work.
- Have pflow knowledge and be proficient in polygonal modeling, set-up, particle systems, and effects.
- Experience with afterburn, rpmanager, brazilrs and other max plugins an asset
- A basic knowledge of texture and lighting is required
- Experience with character set-up and animation is an advantage.
- Compositing experience is also a big plus.
