View Full Version : Point modeling
I know this sounds kinda stupid, but what the heck is point modeling? I hear alot about it in this forum but the only type of modeling i have figured out is box modeling. Are there any tutorials on how to point model?
any information about this would be greatly appreciated.

The COW C4D forum has a tutorial by Jannis Labelle on modeling a head using point modeling. It's a pretty good introduction. Search the posts or click on the "tutorials" button on the left side.

As bcbarnes mentioned the tutorial is a introduction to poly by poly modeling - (which is the same as "point modeling", but a more widely used term - donīt want to confuse you further  ) - but for some advice on how to build a clean mesh with functional edge loops I recommend you go to www.spiraloid.com The mesh that comes out of the above mentioned tutorial wouldnīt animate well - but guess itīs not supposed to, being a rebuilt sculpture.
Thanks for the links guys this looks to be a real help.
