hi ^^ this is my first time creating a low poly character , the character is design , draw and model by me ,her name is foxy , i have not experience in modeling a low poly character before , basicly this modeling is done by following the wireframe of a pdf tutorial , the worst part is ... the tutorial is in korean ... gosh ... really hope i can understand korean, by following the pic and guessing the from the picture provide ... i cant really know am i doing right or wrong >< , hope someone can point out the mistake that i have done and some advise on modeling low poly character ^^ as soon as i finish modeling i will try on low poly texturing ...

I'd get rid of the platform style shoes...

Yeah I agree, Platform shoes make her look like HighFantasy Gingerspice. Some proportions of the face are also a bit off...like the eyes are too high and bodyparts too long or short (I noticed this when I turned on my paltformshoe filter :>) But then again, if it's platformshoes you see on this character, I can't argue.
Concept is nice even if the 'contra posto' looks too J-Loish and gangsta (it says clearly "ya talking to me punk!?!") :)
But for the first lowpoly, good job!...can't do better meself.

Make the neck thinner, shorten her torso at the exposed midriff, give her normal sized hands, and less chin :)

I would like to first say I like the modeling so far keep going
But the plat forms are a little much and the torso does seem a little long
But your concepts look great awsome drawings I would love to see more...
Keep it up cant wait for texturing:thumbsup:

here a little update , change the the torso and the cheek , hmmm look better i guess^^
change the platform shoes into normal shoes but i'm designing a high heel for her >< . i added hair ... not sure am i doing it the correct way hope can get some comment . give her a grove ^^ and her weapon ... scaled the hand a little ^^.
thanks tofugorilla for the advise ^^ did some changes according to ur advise , well it does look nicer ^^
thanks ElFuego for the link ^^ it help out for me to get a better height of my character and some part of the body which is off, i change the facial a little , look better now ^^.
HughieDM here some update ^^. will take 2 or 3 more days for the texturing and uv >< will complete it as soon as i can ^^.

This is coming along nicely. Those shoes are much better, it adds a better silhouette along with the torso changes.

You should post a full body profile along with the frontal shot as well as a front, profile and 45 of the face :)

hmm sorry for the long delay , some accident happen ,some family issue bother me all this week , finaly i can start with my texturing ><, hmmm here some progress of the texturing , i think i really need to learn a better way of doing the uv stuff , looking from the picture from the tutorial help some , guess i can done a better one after this character ^^.

i been facing some problem , for her spect and diffuse map ... i should generate it from my colour map ? how to make sure i can get a correct diffuse map... anyone got any link to a tutorial for diffuse and spect ?? i have add any diffuse map for her yet ... >< do i need one ?
the rigging is a hard part for me >< never rigg a low poly character before just have to follow what been teach in my college and try to fit it in , she can do simple animation , cant do too complicated animation i think .
almost done with her ... planning for my new character now ^^

Looking at the mesh, the head seems a little vertically stretched. Her nose seems too long compared to the concept design.
I can see white-ish streaks on her stomach, don't know if they're meant to be highlights. Try blurring them.
The shape of her hypogastric (i think that's the right name) ab muscles aren't right. They're not the same shape as the other ab muscles and they're rarely as prominent.
Try looking at some reference images.

OK- First impression is the pose you put her in is not working. She may look better not in it but I cannot tell. Among other things I think her legs are too short, I think her torso is too long, her hands and arms are a little weird, and her theighs are a little too skinny.
For a first lowpoly this is pretty phenominal IMHO, the texturse are good, you can paint very well. I say finish her, and forget about her. Onto the next one! the 2nd one you make is always better than the first :)
(you still didn't post full body profiles of the model :P )

In general, excepting the boobs and waist, she looks mannish. I think if you shorten her head, or lower her eyes on her face, you'll do better. I think your equipment textures look great, but I can see the streaking that was pointed out as well.
For your first character, she really does look good, but she also looks a bit 'male'.

I agree with Kwills. She's looking like male. Probably because she has too many straight lines too. The proportion of 8.5 heads really makes her look even larger. I think you should go for 7 or 7.5 for females.
Something's botherthing me about her waist armor piece... It doesn't really match with your shoes or chest piece, too different in style I think.
