View Full Version : Server Advice sought - Alienbrain, XSI, RAID 10

I'm looking to put in a storage server. I am planning on running RAID 10 and would like between 750GB and 1TB of storage.

I'll be running Alienbrain and also using it as my XSI workgroup server as well.

I think a Dell Poweredge 2950 will probably fit the bill, but I wanted to see if you guys have any thoughts on the subject. I'd like to keep the budget under $3500 for the machine. It won't be doing any rendering - just serving up files and storing them.
