Hello. I have about 6 hrs invested in this, I also have all of the gears in the back modeled as well. Still need to finish the base and all of the wires and such. What do you think? I know that the proportions are different, I made the face larger and I added lower Eyelids. Thanks,
Brian

Is that what they look like without fur on? You didn't actually strip down a furby for reference did you?

Looks great though - not having skinned a furby myself I couldn't really say if its correct or not but it looks great

yep, I actually "skinned a furby". bought it for 2$ at a thrift store, so I didn't loose much investment. Hoping I can finnish it today. Thanks for the comment,
Brian

This is one of those times when I wish I had sound on my PC - the movement at least looks great although my own furby didn't have quite as articulate a set of eyes as yours - and mine cost more too! I've been ripped off!

I decided to model the inside of the furby, because... well, its something no one else has modeled. lol. Well, I am going to use it on my demo reel with camera tracking, sitting on a coffee table. He is going to cross the view of the camera twice b4 he comes up and talks to the camera. I think I am going to use the audio clip that I used in the example for the intro to my demo reel. At the end of my reel, he is going to freak and notice that he is naked :) Think some one is playing a practical joke on him, then the camera will pan over to another furby (a real one) who has fur, and he is going to think that that furby took his skin. Thanks,
Brian

Although I myself am too kind-hearted to rip the skin off a Furby, I must applaud your creativity. The modeling looks great, even though I dont' quite know what the insides look like, it all seems to fit together well. the lip sync test was great, really gives the Furby personality. Great, great, great. I give it two thumbs up!

Keep posting updates, I would love to see the progress you make on this one!

Brian,

This is really sweet! I laugh my ass off every time I watch it. I'm sure the final version will be something to behold. Great idea and great lip sync:thumbsup:

the wires look good, but is there a clip or something that is holding them up, cause they travel up to a point, then come back down. not very natural, unless there is a clip. just wondering.

Lauren

PS I mean the wires that are going/coming from the red speaker on his belly.

Hey guys, here is an update, what do you think?? I am going to run wires from the furby, to the inputs on the leg Mindstorm controler, so that he will be able to "control" his new ride. Let me know what you think please!! Took about 4 hrs to model the additional legos in MAYA.
BTW, along with the cords, I still need to model the front end and the Arms going to the shovel .

THanks,
Brianhttp://www.digitaldejavu.com/furby and car.jpg

:) I have no idea. Just kept thinking, "I wonder what would happen if I...?" and I just kept experimenting around with it, and this is what I have so far... What do you think?

lol. That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen done with a furby. He could go on a demolition rampage! :buttrock:

I think the model looks great.

I've been watching this lil naked furby building up then suddenly - he's turned into an evil looking lego killing machine! I love the new body you've given him - its a real twist!
