Hey guys, I need some help.

I imported a mesh made in 3dsmax, divided it and worked on it for a while to create a normal map. After working on it for a while I had realized that I had accidentaly divided the mesh while some of the mesh was hidden. This created triangles and I didn't realize it until I finished.

With the triangles I can't Reconstruct Subdivision to create the Normal Map?? Is there anything I can do to fix this??? I don't want to do all that work over again and I can't seem to find a way to fix it.

Thanks

Can't you reimport your base mesh obj file at the lowest subdivision level of the ztool? If you can't do that you might have to save out a displacement map and use that to recover the details with the reimported base mesh.

How do I create a displacement if i'm not able to subdivde the mesh to a lower res.? It's the same reason I can't create a normal map.

And you didn't store a morph target? If that's the case I would just start a new ztool. And save a morph target of the lowest subdivision level.

Yeah, I'm just starting over and doing it again. I think I spent more time to fix it then it took me to create it. It just sucks doing it all over again. If i wasn't under such a time constraint to finish this, I would keep looking for a way to fix it, but I can't seem to find a way now. Thanks anyway
