Hi,
I have a character built out of nurms, modelled, textured and rigged (well.., partially rigged)
now i want to do some editing on the model and i would like to know how best to do it.

To speed modelling i created a referenced clone which i then smoothed into a nurms, so i could work on a simple model and see the end result next to it.
Now with my referecenced nurms rigged, model editing is starting to take long time, how can i best model fast.... can i disable the ik rig somehow. or can i replace the mother object (that which is referenced)

ok, i just removed my skin modifier., ill reaply it later. vmore work for me now..

the question for the future is, is there a way to save a skin modifier's settings, bone envelopes and such to reapply it seamlessly later?

hey Jav,

I run through the same question ( = problem), and I think you can save/load a bone/envelope setting by using the two button SAVE/LOAD (how original! ) in the Skin Modifier rollout, under "Advanced Parameters" (are those two options THAT advanced?? )

Hope it helps,

AXE
