Peter Lehrack asked if Placer could work with Swage. I knew that it would, but he had a great project to test it with. He had built a tunnel with Placer Deposit and an imported piece of geometry from a different program for the Tunnel's Stamp Surface. The bricks are simple Ubershapes. Well, just for fun, I took his project, and added some Swage capabilities. I'm very happy with the results. Imagine if you had to place these bricks by hand. Ugh..

For our next trick, Peter is trying to combine Trestle, Swage, and DaVinci's together to animate the carving of channels into a ground plane. This should work and if it does what I think it will do, the animated Swage extrusion along the ground plane will "dig" the channel and then Peter will use another Swage instance to animate/sweep in the bricks.

Hope the DaVinci trick works. It could be a great way to carve custom shapes.

If any other Trestle/Swage users who have DaVinci's can try something like this, please show us some results.

Just an update. I've gotten Trestle, Swage and Tailor Tool working with one another rather well. (Since I don't have DaVinci's) I'll try to post some samples when I get a chance. Now you can animate your extrusion along the path, and it will carve out the results. Oh and Swage bevels work with it too.
