I've just finished another free plugin. Julienne.

It's available from my website in the library section.

http://www.peranders.com/c4d8/

This time it's a simple modelling tool, that allows you to slice up poly objects or selections by a set number of slices in the X, Y or Z direction. I'm sure it's something that all of you have needed at one time or another (i know i have).

Simply set teh number of slices and the direction and off it goes.

Enjoy :)

Is it just me, or does anyone else get a warm, fuzzy feeling from the fact that mdme_Sadie has taken up coding plugins? Lots of great ideas from his head to our tool bars. :)

Per is definitely a volcano, i hope there will be a day when he can handle the sdk so well that he can make a plugin for every modeling function that C4D lacks and i need :p

your'e welcome guys. teh difference between this and edge cut is that it's based on the world x, y and z directions, so if you rotate an ube for instance, then julienne it, it will be sliced accross the y axis globally, not localy, which means that the slices wont be horizontal to the edges of the cube. also it can julienne poly selections, regardless of their shape or size, which is for me quite useful.
