Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay, ZBrush
A fantasy about old legend well-known in our country. Due to this legend this flower belong to Mistress of Brass Mountain.
I use standart pipeline while making this work.
Modeling in max and Zbrush. Color corection, texturing, some matte (i use some of my photo) done in Photoshop, rendered
with vray . Final resolution about 3600 px.

Tnanks, it was my point, to get nice looking render , without very complicated modeling.
I tried to concentrate all attention on flower and mystic mood of scene at all.

nice1.
but you should try a different angle. like, making the flower closer to us. i'd enlarge camera fov too, so the whole shot look like macro. too much black/blank area at the sides: image is good enough when it's big enough. i mean on a 19" fullscreen view it's ok. but when it's embedded on the page and size is like 50-60% of the screen it looks pretty much empty.
just my $0.05.
p.s. yep, rendering is very nice, though i can't say i "feel" the rear to be "in-scene". it almost has no shadows and i don't understand how it "connects" to the rendered flower. any chance to hear comments? :D
