hey.

i think i must be terribly stupid. I'm doing some box modelling of a head in 3dsmax 4.2 and the vertices on the zero axis have slowly veered away, further and further. there are about 50 vertices i need to bring back to the zero point. how do i realign several vertices at varying distances from the zero axis and bring them all back to zero so i can connect the instanced half???

thanks
chris

i think meshtools or cspolytools has a function for this..

another quick way to do it though, is to select al the vertices you want to 'flatten' and scale them to zero over the x, y or z-axis..
then you move all the vertices to the desired level.

Select open border on border level. On edge level deselect edges not in the middle. Meshtools or max 5 - convert to vertex level. Meshtools - flatten on x. Right-click on the x spinner with move tool selected to zero it out.
