Hi, was wondering if there is a way to animate the ink lines of a toon shaded polygon object in XSI... just like if we extrude a polygon on a curve and play with the End slider...

In maya there is the maya paint we can apply on an object edges, easy to animate but We dont have maya here...

Finally, I only wanna get a nice animable stroke on the edges of a text object... making them appear letters by letters in close-up...

thanks! im still very new in XSI... forgive me if its an easy one..!

mmm... look like it was a hard one after all... I played a lot with the Ink_lens cam presets yesterday and still cant find a clue...

sad cause theres a lots of presets to play with but not that one... a start and end sliders.

Im thinking about making an animate texture with After Effects 3D stroke on the face of the letter and map it on my object but I will never get the nice 3d vectorial feeling im searching for when close-up... especially its for HD format..!

mmm... can I path deform a cylinder on a closed curve? I will try!

thanks
