"Self Portrait in a FPS"
How do you see yourself as a "Doom" marine?
Or a "Gears of War" soldier?

Looking forward to your pics...

These are the rules:

You have NO TIME LIMIT for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
They can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
You can post an entry at anytime for the topic presented on this thead BEFORE the voting thread for THE WEEK has been posted.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php/?t=145003)
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them).

Been lurking around for a while, and this thread is juuust what I wanted for my first post! :buttrock:

I gotta admit I was kinda intimidated... with so many awesome artists around, my art looked even paler than the normal! :P This piece, for example... was supposed to be only an one-hour sketch, but it ended up taking me the whole afternoon to finish, as I got interrupted many times, and ended up having to re-do the coloring twice! The background is a painted-over version of an official HL2 Episode 2 screenshot, by the way.

I don't consider myself a very violent person, nor do I know much about first-person shooters, so this sketch was a bit of a stretch - but fun to do.

i must say that i really love the topics here..
super mucle - this is goooood
britanny, i'd put "you" in a shooting game for the main female character.. good pallete.

well heres mine, after 2.5 hours in alias sketchbook pro, the lighting ,contrast and bullet chain aint perfect to my taste, but i am pretty sick of it so i'll claim it as finished..

Heya im new ^^, anyways this took me 4-5 hours... dont keep track of time, its based off gears of war and im just there posing there with my lazy gun that shoots from the hip posititon.

Think of me as the character (Im thinking in a 007 game) that is the annoying boss. She looks simple enough but is crazy as hell, and has mad skills with her guns. You defeat her once, but she keeps coming back!! "What the hell?!"

And for the self-portrait, I do wear cat ears...all the time. And I like red. But I don't wear my shirt open like that, unless im at home. I also like playing as a guy. XD Personally, I love sharpshooting people, and then just being trigger happy. 1.5 hours, Drawn with pen, colored in PSE2.

I've never been a fan of FPS, but there was a time in highschool when I used to spend most weekends playing Goldeneye at my friend's house. I usually played as James Bond, so here's something I never thought I'd be drawing; myself as James Bond.
