View Full Version : Automate rendering (one object from several angles)

I need to render this car I’m working on in 36 different angles for a 360 degree spinn (flash animation).

There will be several different versions of this car; police, taxi etc and I’m looking for a way for automating the rendering of the 36 angles per car.

If I set up 36 different cameras in a circle around the car – is there a way to automate the rendering so I don’t have to manually switch camera between the rendering passes?

I have a possible solution (well.. workaround) that I haven’t tried yet – making a full circle animation in 36 frames. Would that be an equivalent solution? I guess this would generate 36 renderings one for each angle.

Thanks!

anders

Hej Anders,

this is pretty much what I would have done. Setting up the camera, animate it with 36 frames and then save the frames. Or you could just rotate the car itself and keep the camera in place.

I am not sure if it works this way but I don't see a problem. :)

Lovely model by the way.

Sure, create a circle. The target-camera gets a "align to spline"-tag. You animated it's "position"-paramter....

ok thanks guys!
So the workaround is the solution in this case :)

Hi anders, the "add stage object" is here to switch from camera to camera too.

thanks.. I'm not familiar with it but I'll check it out. I guess that it is also handled via the time line where different cameras are enabled in different frames.

I would stick with (to?) your first solution. the setup is much easier.

A stage object just has five slots...where you want to put the other 31 cameras in ?
I tried and a stange in a stage object doesn't work for me...
