Title: Iron Heinrich
Name: Brittany Richardson
Country: United States
Software: Painter, Photoshop

"The wheel does not break,
'Tis the band round my heart
That, to lessen its ache,
When I grieved for your sake,
I bound round my heart."

This is one of those "started as a sketch" pieces.

Iron Heinrich (also known as Faithful Henry) is a long forgotten character of the fairy tale "The Frog King" which at one time shared it's title with Heinrich. A loyal servant who grieves because his master has fallen under a spell, Heinrich binds three hoops of iron around his chest to keep his heart from bursting apart with worry.

I really like the way you paint, the colors and texture that you finish with -- I could tell this was yours before I looked at the username! :)

Very nice all around, love his face and expression

Awesome work, Brittany. You captured the dreamy distant gaze very well. I also dig the art-nuevo stylings of the custome.

I agree with Runecaster,
The detail of clothes are really well imagine too. You should have a great culture on middle age clothes. Great work !

Excellent interpretation of this fairytale. Love the color palette and the rich patterns on his cloths. :) Bravo!
