Does anyone know where to find resources for 3dmax 5's new lighting solutions? User tuts are always so much more productive than software manuals.

3ds max 5 Fundamentals covers the new lighting techniques pretty good.

hello man, I think the user reference is amazing but, anyway if you like user tuts, you can see mine for that, check my introduction to advanced light, I very little help :)

On the front page in the upper-left hand corner there is a download link. You have to log-in, so if you're not a member, sign up first (it's free).
