I also quite like this one, but I think it lacks a bit of contrast.

I agree about the contrast, but then I was trying to make it look like the sort of aging portrait you'd find behind the bar of old fashioned British country pub. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think the portrait is very nice and I like the style. :thumbsup: I think you have achived what you were looking for thought I agree that it could use some contrast. The thing that "bugs" me thought is the canvas texture you gave it. It's obvious its a photoshop filter... which I think is a shame to add to such a beautiful painting. Just my thoughts.

Yup, a bog standard photoshop filter - sorry. Time pressure for a presentation. I'll make sure to try and do better for the finished piece if it comes to it. I promise.
