Thirty five minutes, agggghhhh, stopped at about 33 to add a vignette and fix contrast, but not nearly where I would want it for finishing...must get faster, must get faster...this is my second post...let me know what you think

I posted a dancer a few hours ago and I don't see it...I kept going so I'll send both in this post. It's entirely possible that I didn't post correctly since I'm new. The first was what I did in 35 minutes. Then I went back and redrew adding more detail and paying attention to lighting that made sense on the subject, and I changed to a less obnoxious color scheme. The second drawing is at 2hrs. I'm happy with where this is going, but posting this early in the process definitely adds some pressure to get it right sooner rather than later!

Hope my thought process isn't too out there for everyone to follow...still feel like these need to go a REALLLLLY long way still...but having fun all the same.

As usual, Daniel....wonderfully chewy. Dancers scare me, so I was compelled to try one. Tastes like turkey.

PS7, 35 minutes, to the second.

Some really nice entries on this thread :)

CGriffin - Thanks :) Excellent work, yourself. It has a very natural media quality, something like pastel. The POV, the anatomy and warm palette is spot on, too.

I am really likeing this subject so i did another one. I am happy the way this came out because my color pallet is better, and didnt have to use some color corecting techniques that i usually do. Also i like the look i got from the brushes from the hint and tips thread.

PS CS2 36 minutes

I decided that my range of value was weak so i went back in and sis about 5 more minutes of value tweaking. I think it is much better for it. So total is about 40 minutes give or take 3minutes.

Using Wacom/Painter Oils - about 50mins

20min at most.. photoshop. wacom

i did this just as a practice of negative space.
a kind of wood cut i guess. Im a fine art print maker by training
I just do something and something wierd happens.. it seems to
actually have a meaning.. religious and im no way religious
I ment to have a dancer in dismay.. we always see too much of
the elegance and i like to head the other way on trends.. so i
have a dancer in a sacrifical pain.. Then I let the viewer do the interpreting
but there really was no deep thinking on my endhttp://apogee3d.com/ballet.jpg
