View Full Version : Red tussled hair and Baldilocks
richdraws 11-24-2006, 11:28 PM Here is a capture of the first few hours of a painting I am working on. About 4-5 hours into it now.
I have had a quiet year and am hoping to get back into my painting. I would really appreciate any comments anyone has, except for the ugliness of the guy as its a loose self portrait.

Hey, I like the composition.
Nice movement of both characters. and the forms flow nice into each other. I like your color schemea dn the repetition of the green of her scarf to his shirt.
Right now the girls breasts seem strange to me, migth be her waist that is to thin in comparison as well as her neck just is a tad too long. Think about the contrast of the guy in the foreground to her, right now that is not working and the perspective is lost.
Last but not least you might want to reconsider her right arm and the way it sticks out of the guys head. That T shape with the negative shape around it and the dark clothes create a focal point that is highly distracting. Maybe try a different angle of the arm or reposition the guy.
My 20 cents :D
hope it helps. wanna see more!
