I posted this in the modeling section but got no reply and scince it really is a work in progress I guess theres no harm in posting it here.

firstly, I have a small problem. The grass is done with a flat plane with a diffuse and opacity map. When I set the grass to cast shadows the shadow is the shape of the plane and not the grass op map. Is there a way to make things with op maps cast shadows in the shap of the op map (without using raycast shadows of course) OR is there a way to make an object cast only a partial shadow like 10% of the shadow's opacity. The same problem happens when I try to render the Z depth, I'll be needing this too.

heres what I got so far:
the grass is not casting any shadows right now, those are painted on the texture.

Just keeping it current, I guess It would help to know I'm using 3ds max.

Soory that I can't answer your question as I'm using Lightwave, but Lightwave version 7.0 and above can do it.

I think the image should be more zoomed in on the tap. It seems that it's too litle in the scene fro the eye to set focus on. My advice is to work more with the tap. I think this can be really cool if you work more on it.

:)
