Saurus 02-12-2003, 12:02 AM Anybody out there knows a good cell shader for Maya. I worked on a couple of cell shader before and I found the line quality pretty bad. Freeware or retail version...I dont care.

Tomcat Toonshade is the best I've seen for Maya, mostly because of its use of paint effects for the linework. Also, they have a very usable demo version that you can download and try.

Also, if you want to be mad that you can't get it for Maya, take a look at FinalToon (http://www.finalrender.com/products/products.asp?UD=10-7888-35-788&PID=37) .
