Try going to the ol' godd pencil and paper and have a go first..

And keep practicing, no one was born an artist!

actually...i feel great using pencil and paper...

but tt 2d painting was done in fotoshop using a......rat. n i had quite a hard time painting...as it was my first 2d painting.....

as for my pencil and paper drawings...here is a caricature of myself...comments please...

as an attempt ....scan one of your sketches/drawings and try to colour them in the prog of your choice ;)
