For me, this is a somewhat more serious attempt at a moving matte. I used 3dsMax and Photoshop with camera mapping techniques. I know there could be a lot of improvements made to it, but this was more a test of what was possible. I will certainly do another moving matte, but I will do it more carefully. One thing that stands out is the bluriness...but I think that has got to do with the compression of the Quicktime file, something I'm not good at controlling.
This one took me about 1 day to complete and was based on a concept done last year. The actual frame rendering took about 1 hour for 300 frames.
