You could also use Chestnuts from http://homepage2.nifty.com/aquawave/e/index.html

Not sure if it's compatible with R8 though.

mdme_sadie: can't figure out how to do it to a point/poly selection in ditools...cloner...can see choices for draw type and klone mode but not getting it to the selection...just clones over whole plane area.:wip:

AdamT : not sure if chestnuts works with r8 but will give it ago....again not sure from website if you can do it to a set selection, looks more random selections...but again will have to check it out.

basically i have a plane with some polys or points selected.
i then have a null full of instances eg 20 in total. i want to be able to align the instances to sit on the surface of the plane on the location of the selected points/polys. hope this is clear if not i can get a screen shot for ya....just can't believe i'm having such a hard time pulling it off as ya can arrange to spline but not to selection etc.

thanks anyways guys...appreciate it.
