Does anyone know of a good tut which would explain to me how to rig hands in Max please. I mean either through IK ok morph targets.
Thanx in advance

I don't know of any good tutorials for hands, but I just rigged a hand and let me tell you, it was a little frustrating. The main advice I could give would be use joint angle deformers on each of the three joints (yes, I even use them on the joint where the knuckle is).
Next time, I'm going to try a different approach, though. I didn't do any wiring on the fingers because I like to pose them very intricately.
Here's a pic of said hand, if I can get it to load.

thanx for the advice and I love that hand. Good stuff ;)
how to you go about animating them, do you bend each bone, or have you set up animation controls for them like sliders ect.
Thanx again

Thanks. For me, on this hand, I bend each bone because the animation on these hands will be minimal, and usually I will be posing the hands more intricately than what you can achieve with basic slider setup.
Now, if I really wanted to spend more time and set it up with sliders, I would use the reactor controller on the first (possibly the second) bone in each finger and really be able to get some realistic curl.
It's not hard posing each finger individually, though.
