valu: haha thanks man! five straws are just as good :P
martyyr: yeah i agree, im not sure if that was reflecting the green, but that did look a little odd, so i fixed it up.
emilio: haha thanks for the suggestions, crapify the toenails, gotcha! :scream: good tips dude!

Cool,
Maybe you could work more on the texture on the face? Too me it seems that it could have more details.
Nice modeling.

Hey Jeffo! this looks awesome.. good change on the skin texture, it looks much better in brownish.. as for tips on it, the only thing i can think of is maybe darkening areas that bend... jointed like his armpits, behind the knee.. etc.. also maybe give him some burnmarks or scars where he has armor.. Looking very good!:buttrock:

Just one thing that I found fairly obvious is the texturing on his chin seems to be very stretched. You may want to go into your UV editor and adjust the uv's so that they cover a larger portion of the texturemap and don't stretch out. Other than that, looks pretty durn good. Well, and his skin is pretty dull, might want to up the specularity some. Good job tho.

thanks for the comments everybody! :)
erikals; buzz: definately agree, thats why shes a wip :) i added some more detail to it, let me know what you think.
whiterabbit: good call on the spec, there is stretching although its not actually doing that because of the uvs, i painted it that way to make it look like the skin has been worn around his mighty jaw, does it look like a technical error?
mangled; valu: thanks guys! :buttrock:
hair: good idea, now i just gotta figure out where the straps and accessories line up onto his skin in the unwrap
heres an update, worked on the skin some more, let me know what you think!
edit:
To do's:
Fix the toenails, look too glued on
Tweak the bump map some more
Change up the chin texture, looks mirrored.
could had some ugly/big "spots"...

i like the latest one a lot, the only thing i can see is that the bandage on the leg needs to be a littler dirtier- its way to bright. my eye is drawn to it immediatly, so i would fix that, everything else looks good :scream:

Yeeeessss, Thatīs it !!!
Now we can see the veins in the arms and all the details . The nuances of the texture make the character more alive.
What about the animation ?????????

buzz: definately check out leighs "texturing for dummies" that should help alot with your textures, its at http://leigh.cgcommunity.com and that joan of arc modeling tutorial is supposed to be excellent although i havent used it, and im not sure where its located, it might be under the cgtalk tutorials section under 3dsmax. Glad you like the model :)
valu: haha i think the animation will be a little while yet, not too sure how to rig this guy properly. I think a still with an environment is next.
thanks guys!
