View Full Version : Texture Problems with 4.5.
YellYellYell 02-11-2003, 04:06 PM Hi,
I've got a problem with Maya 4.5.
I did my complete textured models in 4.0.
With 4.5. I can't manipulate the textures of the models.
If I make new models, I can map the textures, but can't manipulate it. In the UV Texture Editor is nothing to see, only a grey plane.
I always use the planar mapping method.
Whats wrong ?
Do you have any other methods or ideas ?

I had the same problem. I ended up starting all over. I sent off a few e-mails but the end result never worked out.
Someone told me it was possible to fix but I can not recall who that was.
Try reading through the docs?

did you try exporting to .obj and then importing? this should remove all compatibility issues i would think....

Ok, i can try the obj. idea, but the problem is bigger.
I also can't texture models they are created in 4.5. !
So I must model and texture my stuff in 4.0.
After that I must work with 4.5. because I use some 4.5 tools. But there is no chance to manipulate my textures.
And then I can't open my new saved file with 4.0, because of the noncompatility.
Hey, you all can texture with 4.5.........I wish to do this too.
any other ideas
